Zion United Church came into being in 1968 when the United Reformed Church (at the time Congregational) and three Methodist Churches in the Village of Frampton Cotterell and Coalpit Heath decided to come together to form a united church.

Turn off the Downend to Yate Road (A432) onto Woodend Road. Follow this road through villages of Coalpit Heath and Frampton Cotterell. Zion is situated at the top of the hill.
